This picture was taken in 1983 right after the sanding of 10,000 square feet of floor. It took about 3 weeks of non-stop work around the clock. This was spearheaded by Benjy Young (one of the founding members of Theater Artaud Inc.) and people thought he was crazy. We first started the project with one commercial sander and by the end of the first week we had an additional 5 sanders going because some many people came out to help.
